Experiments were carried out on bacterial leaching heavy metals from aerobically stabilize excessive activated silt of Bortnichi Aeration Station of Kiev when adding elementary sulphur as a stimulant of the activity of acidophilic thiobacilli. It has been shown that a decrease of silt pH in the course of the process is a decisive factor of efficiency of leaching heavy metals.
