A rigorous and time efficient method for numerical analysis of plasmonic integrated devices has been proposed. In this technique, the structure under investigation is periodically repeated along one direction; then it is analyzed using a transmission-line formulation. The obtained numerical results for various plasmonic devices are compared with those generated by a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) analysis. The proposed technique does not require domain discretization and absorbing layers; thus, it excels over an FDTD analysis in terms of computation time and memory resources.
