In this paper, a new method was established to extract olaquindox in chicken by matrix solid phase dispersion extraction using the molecularly imprinted polymers as solid phase materials. The polymers were prepared using olaquindox as the template, methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linking agent. The imprinted material was characterized by static and kinetic adsorption experiments. The results showed that it had good recognition, selective ability, and fast adsorption-desorption dynamics for olaquindox. The prepared material was used as solid phase materials of matrix solid phase dispersion to enrich the olaquindox and then determined by high performance liquid chromatography. Under the optimized conditions, the range of recovery spiked with olaquindox at 1.0 and 2.0 mu g g(-1) levels was between 85.3 and 93.2 %.
