The structure and electrochemical behavior of fibrous chitosan-carbon materials (CCM) were investigated. It was shown that chitosan film is very permeable for electrolyte ions and CCM are charged by fast charge transfer. It was found that heat treatment of the chitosan film precipitated on the surface of the carbon matrix changes its structure, improving the conditions of polarization of the composite fibre material. Use of CCM as electrodes will allow expanding the range of polarization of fibre materials in basic medium. The method of cyclic voltammetry can be used for evaluating the accessibility of the surface during monitoring of the state of a biocomposite.
