We examine the use of the WKB approximation to determine the p-wave scattering length. For this we solve tire p partial wave Schrodinger equation and analyse the validity of adopting the semiclassical solution to evaluate the constant factors in the solution. We also calculate the p-wave scattering lengths of (6)Li and (40)K for the a(3)Sigma(+)(u) and X(1) Sigma(+)(g) states respectively using the variable phase method. The p-wave Scattering lengths of (132)Cs and (134)Cs are also calculated. Based on our calculations, the value of the p-wave scattering lengths of (6)Li and (40)K are -36a(o) and -95a(o) respectively.
