A dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) of beta-amino esters have been developed by the use of a heterogeneous racemization catalyst and an immobilized enzyme that accepts aromatic, heteroaromatic and aliphatic substrates. The reaction conditions were optimized to yield an efficient catalytic system without by-product formation. The products are obtained in 96-99% ee and high yields.
