A palladium-catalyzed alkenylation of 1,2,3-triazoles with terminal conjugated alkenes by direct C-H functionalization has been developed in the presence of Cu(OAC)(2) and di-oxygen. A variety of terminal alkenes such as acrylates and styrenes can perform the direct oxidative coupling reactions with 1,2,3-triazoles to afford the corresponding alkenylated products in 30-90% yield.
