Bronsted acid (TfOH) or solid acid (montmorillonite K-10) catalyzed aza-Diels-Alder reactions of methylenecyclopropanes with ethyl (arylimino) acetates were shown for the construction of the tetrahydroquinoline skeleton with the untouched cyclopropyl group in the 3,3'-position.
