The reaction of iproplatin with reduced glutathione at different mole ratios yielded cis-di(isopropylamine)chloro-glutathionatoplatinum(H), not the expected cis-dichloro-species, indicating a mode of action of this anticancer agent that is different from that of cis-diamminedichloroplatinum(II).
