For pairs of entangled photons, each seems to know about the state of the other. Using this property of quantum entanglement, we can remotely control the extraordinary optical transmission through subwavelength holes in a metal plate. Our method can also be used for entanglement distillation. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2008
