On board catalytic NOx control: mechanistic aspects of the regeneration of Lean NOx Traps with H-2

In this paper the results obtained in our previous studies on the reduction of nitrates by H-2 over Pt-Ba/Al2O3 catalyst samples are presented and discussed along with new data recently collected in order to explain the chemistry that leads to nitrogen and ammonia evolution during the regeneration of Lean NOx Traps.
