It is of importance to develop earth-abundant, low-cost and efficient catalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, we prepare Ti3C2Tx-FeOOH heterostructure that exhibits excellent electro-chemical performance with a potential of 1.65 V at 10 mA cm(-2), a Tafel slope of 31.7 mV dec(-1) and outstanding stability for OER in alkaline medium. The superior catalytic activity is attributed to the synergistic coupling between amorphous FeOOH QDs and Ti3C2Tx. This study offers a new pathway for MXene-based materials toward OER in alkaline media. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
