In this report, a facile and general approach was developed to prepare uniform Pt nanoparticles (NPs) on reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanosheets, previously coated with a layer of polydopamine (PDA). The novel composites were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), and electrochemical technique, which had high electrochemically active surface area of 63.3 m(2) g(-1) and high electrocatalytic activity toward the reduction of O-2. Furthermore, the Pt/PDA/RGO modified electrode exhibited a low detection limit of 0.4 mu M (S/N=3) and a high sensitivity of 13.3 mu A mu M-1 cm(-2) for the detection of H2O2 as a model analyte.
