Novel electrochemical fiber actuators based on graphene fiber/polypyrrole (GF/PPy) asymmetric structures have been prepared by a facile controlled electropolymerization of pyrrole (Py) on the GF. The fiber actuator is of high flexibility and durability, and can be further devised to fabricate multi-armed tweezers and net actuators. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
