Promising capacity retention (more than 92% of initial capacity after 100 cycles), was exhibited in cells (graphite/xLi(2)MnO(3)center dot yLiMO(2)) with 2 wt.% LiDFOB as additive. The outstanding cell performance was associated with the formation of stable solid electrolyte interface (SEI) film on the surface of electrodes derived from LiDFOB. Compared to the effect of the LiBOB additive, the main reason responsible for the greatly improved durability in LiDFOB added cells might be attributed to the more stable SEI film with lower interfacial resistance on the surface of anode.
