Nanodendritic Ir@Pt core-shell bifunctional electrocatalysts were synthesized by a one-pot synthesis method for the first time. Besides good dispersion and uniform composition distribution, Ir@Pt bifunctional electrocatalysts have exhibited outstanding catalytic activity for both oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions in comparison with the mixture of commercial Ir and Pt blacks.
