We examined the potential correlation between vancomycin and daptomycin MIC for 298 Staphylococcus aureus by broth microdilution (BmD), Etest, and MicroScan (R). Etest and BMD identified a significant, albeit poor, correlation between MICs (rho = 0.29, P < .01, and rho = 0.15, P = .01, respectively), but no correlation (rho = 0.08, P = .18) was observed with MicroScan.
