Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates containing the bla(IMP-6) gene were recovered from 5 patients hospitalized at a tertiary-care hospital in Korea. The bla(IMP-6) gene was in a class 1 integron containing 5 different insert gene cassettes. All of the isolates showed identical pattern in Spel macrorestriction analysis. (C) 2008 Elsevier Inc.
