Triple core-shell structures in the Cu24Gd6 and Cu24Dy6 clusters were first observed and structurally characterized. The magnetic investigations reveal that Cu24Gd6 possesses the significant magnetic entropy change (-Delta S-m) of 21.2 J kg(-1) K-1 for Delta H = 7 T, and a slow magnetization relaxation is observed in Cu24Dy6.
