Reductive elimination of C(6)F(5)-C(6)F(5) from cis-[Pd(C(6)F(5))(2)L] (L = cod, bpy, and dppb) was promoted by Bronsted acids. HNO(3) is a convenient acid for the formation of C(6)F(5)-C(6)F(5) from [Pd(C(6)F(5))(2)(cod)]. The products are controlled by the auxiliary ligand.
