Carboxylate moieties are less considered in the field of pharmaceutical cocrystal research, although they are contained in some important drug substances and cocrystal formers. Here, we demonstrated that an amine-carboxylate intermolecular interaction (N-H-OOC) can be used as a supramolecular synthon for pharmaceutical cocrystal design.
