Herein, we report a facile solvothermal route for the gram scale synthesis of near monodisperse superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles and fluid. The efficacy in generating large scale Fe3O4 nanoparticles arises from the interfacial hydroxyl-aided Ostwald ripening process. Uniform Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been obtained in a high scale (similar to 1.19 g per one-pot).
