Here we report a simple solvothermal method to synthesize complex PbSe nanodendrites with superhydrophobicity. To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of superhydrophobic PbSe nanodendrites with water contact angle (CA) over 150 degrees and sliding angle (SA) of 1 degrees, which may find potential application for protecting PbSe semiconductor devices due to its self-cleaning properties.
