Three novel cobalt(II) coordination polymers based on 1D rodlike dipyridyl-containing chains and a flexible tripodal acid with additional amide groups with unprecedented (3, 5) and (4, 4, 5) connected topology with a Schlafli symbol of (5, 6(2)) (5(3), 6(4), 7, 8(2)), and (5, 6(5))(2) (5(3), 6(6), 7)(2) (6(4), 8, 10) were reported along with interesting reversible crystal-to-amorphous transformation properties.
