A novel, single-walled coordination nanotube [CuSCN(L)]center dot(DMF)(0.5) (L = 1,3-di(pyridin-4-yl)propane, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) was easily prepared using two bidentate ligands and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, which shows guest exchange properties and strong photoluminescence at room temperature.
