Two chiral d(10) metallosupramolecular systems based on an achiral fluorinated Schiff-base ligand have been prepared and characterized. The Zn-II complex 1 reveals 2(1) helical coordination chains with the inclusion of rare water chains of opposite helix in the perpendicular channels, whereas the Cd-II complex 2 displays the homochiral ID coordination motifs with 3(1) symmetry and a 3D supramolecular architecture built by C-H center dot center dot center dot F interactions.
