The aim was to evaluate the influence of Nd:YAG laser on the durability of resin-dentin bonds. Nd: YAG laser was applied on dentin of extracted human molars previously the application of Adper Single Bond 2 (SB) and Clearfil SE Bond (SE) adhesive systems. Twenty five beams for each group were submitted to microtensile bond strength (mu TBS) after storage for 24 h and 7 months. According to three-way analysis of variance and Bonferroni test (alpha = 0.05), the lowest means were obtained with SE groups. Higher means were obtained for SB. The laser did not significantly implicate the bond durability in a period of 7 months for both adhesive systems. (C) 2015 Laser Institute of America.
