This paper presents a feasible protocol for the preparation of melamine conjugated Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles. The application of this magnetic nanocomposite as a novel and sensitive solid phase for removal, preconcentration and spectrophotometric determination of trace amount of malachite green (MG) was developed. Combination of nanocomposite adsorption and easily magnetic separation was used to extraction of MG. The calibration graph was linear in the range 0.1-8 mu g mL(-1) of MG. The detection limit of the method for determination of MG was 0.05 mu g mL(-1) with a relative standard deviation less than 1.66%. (C) 2014 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry.
