This presentation describes the successful synthesis of novel tetrazole-based quinoline and tetrahydro-1H-beta- carboline derivatives via one-pot multicomponent reactions in moderate to good yields. These reactions have presumably proceeded through Ugi-azide or Ugi-azide/Pictet-Spengler processes, respectively.
