Kept in a cage: Complexation of phthalocyanine-grafted cyclodextrins and a sulfonated porphyrin leads to the formation of supramolecular nanowires through multivalent binding. These complexes contain multiple, preorganised pi-electronic cages that efficiently capture C-60 in water.
