A novel triterpenoid saponin, jujuboside I (1), together with five known compounds, jujuboside A (2), jujuboside B (3), jujuboside C (4), betulin (5), and betulinic acid (6), were isolated from Semen Ziziphi Spinosae [the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba var. spinosa (Bunge) Hu ex. H. F. Chou]. The structure of 1 was elucidated by spectral methods (1D NMR, ESI-MS, HR-MS, and 2D NMR).
