Coumarin and cyanine are integrated into solid-state two-dimensional nanospace. The construction of the integrated systems is achieved by utilizing the coumarin/phyllosilicate hybrid with a covalent bond between the coumarin and phyllosilicate moieties, as a host hybrid. Fluorescence resonance energy transfer occurs from the excited coumarin moiety to cyanine.
