The apparent quantum yield at 365 nm over TiO2 photocatalyst for O-2 evolution and Fe3+ reduction in an aqueous FeCl3-HCl solution was 51%, and more than 15 times higher than in an aqueous Fe-2(SO4)(3)-H2SO4 solution.
