TiO2 nanotube array was fabricated via anodization, and the resulting film was investigated by XRD and SEM. The degradation of Methylene Blue (MB) dye demonstrated its superior photoelectrochemical activity. By comparison of photocatalysis (PC) and photoelectroncatalysis (PEC), it was found that PEC oxidation was a convenient and effective process to mineralize the organic matters. In addition, the excellent capability of adsorption derived from nanoporous configuration on such electrode also plays an important role in accelerating the degradation process.
