The formation of H2O((1)A(1)) from the radiative association of oxygen and H-2 has been investigated by accurate quantum chemistry calculations. The rate constant calculations have been undertaken for the IR radiative stabilisation of the (1)A(1) H2O complex formed at the O(D-1) and H-2 dissociation limit. The formation of H2O((1)A(1)) from the radiative association of O and H-2 is discussed within the astrophysical context. (C) 2009 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
