The effect of temperature on volumetric mass transfer coefficient was studied during the absorption process of carbon dioxide in monoethanolamine aqueous solutions, using a square bubble column. Our studies provide an empirical correlation type Boltzmann to estimate the temperature operated, at different amine concentrations and gas flow rates. An excellent agreement has been shown between predicted and experimental data (r(2) > 0.991). (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
