The self-complexation of mono-benzimidazole functionalized beta-cyclodextrins was investigated. The unique molecular structure employed as supramolecular nanovalves were installed on the external surface of mesoporous silica to assemble mechanized silica nanoparticles, which showed pH-triggered release property.
