A radioactive probe (1) has been developed and applied to a condensation reaction and self-assembly of radioactive nanoparticles (i.e., I-125-NPs) intracellularly. Upon 160 min cellular efflux, the radioactivity retained in cells incubated with 1 was 4-fold more higher than that of those cells treated with a scrambled control probe (1-Scr).
