Iron telluride nanorods (FeTe NRs, length 45 +/- 11 nm) prepared from tellurium nanowires (Te NWs, length 785 +/- 170) have been used to detect H2O2 and glucose with a limit of detection (LOD) of 55 nM (linear range = 0.1-5 mu M) and 0.38 mu M (linear range = 1-100 mu M) respectively.
