A single-chain magnet consisting of Co-II chains with (EO-N-3)(2) and (mu-COO)(2)(mu-EO-N-3) bridges reversibly transforms into an antiferromagnetic phase with metamagnetic character and modified slow magnetic relaxation upon dehydration.
