NiWO4 nanoparticles have been facilely synthesized by a hydrothermal approach, and used as a catalyst for the hydrodesulfurization of thiophene and its derivative 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene, showing a significantly higher activity than commercial NiW/Al2O3.
