Mo-TiO2 core-shell nanoparticles are prepared by the arc-discharge method, in which anatase TiO2 with {001} facets are shells and Mo nanoparticles work as cores. These nanoparticles show enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light, due to the Mo-doping in {001}TiO2 from diffusion at the shell-core interface.
