Synthesis of hammer-like macromolecules of C-60 with well-defined polystyrene chains via atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) using a C-60-monoadduct initiator

A new preparation of uniform hammer-like macromolecules of C-60 with designed molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distributions in the range of 1.13-1.37 is developed by using C-60-monoadduct initiator (I) in a copper-mediated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP).
