Radionuclide separation processes that have been used successfully in the past as well as recent developments in separation techniques are discussed with emphasis on their applications in the treatment of radioactive wastes, Both aqueous and nonaqueous processes are evaluated. Separation procedures proposed for use in systems involving transmutation of nuclear waste products are also discussed.
