The implications of the finite size on the temperature dependence of the dielectric constant and the correlation length are elucidated for ferroelectrics. The deviation from the Curie-Weiss law in ferroelectric particles originates from the decrease of the long-range correlation. With these calculations, it is possible to interprete the experiments in a new way. (C) 2000 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
