During a survey conducted from August to November 1998 of ticks associated with dogs in the rural area of Uruara, in the state of Fare, Eastern Amazon region of Brazil, we collected one gynandromorph specimen out of 18 Amblyomma oblongoguttatum Koch specimens collected from dogs. It is a perfect bipartite gynandromorph, reported in this species for the first time.
