Experimental data on {(1 - x)KCl + xCaCl(2)} have been collected from the literature. In order to fill existing gaps in the available data on this system we have carried out enthalpy, equilibrium temperature, and heat capacity measurements using calorimetry and differential thermal analysis. An assesment of all the data has been made using the thermodynamic surrounded ion model (SIM) and a computer program developed by H. L. Lukas. (C) 2000 Academic Press.
