The reaction between {HC(MeCDippN)(2)}Ga: (Dipp = C6H3Pr2i-2,6) and N3SiMe3 afforded the tetrazole {HC(MeCDippN)(2)}GaN(SiMe3)NNN(SiMe3) 1 and its amide/azide isomer {HC(MeCDippN)(2)}Ga(N-3)N(SiMe3)(2) 2 whose stabilities are due to the unique steric properties of the [HC(MeCDippN)(2)](-) ligand.
