Chiral induction upon coordination to form an enantiomeric bis-chelate ruthenium(II)-tris(3-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)amine complex

Chiral induction to a C-3-symmetric and non-prochiral tris(3-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl)amine was achieved upon coordination to a ruthenium(II) center by forming a stable fac-cis bis-chelate complex selectively and H-1 NMR spectroscopy showed that the chirality is maintained even in solution.
