The new species Acrodictys liputii and Digitodesmium bambusicola, found on bamboo submerged in the Liput River in the Philippines, are described, illustrated and compared with similar taxa. Digitodesmium is compared with similar taxa like Cheiromyces and Dictyosporium. A discussion of the differences between brown cheirosporous mitosporic taxa is given.
